Stayed here for about the 5th year in a row for an April event at the Convention Center. Although I still consider this hotel to be a. Check both, as rates are usually different. I paid $69 booking 11 months ahead on the hotel's own site, which was cheaper than the Best Western site. On the newly remodeled Mardi Gras Inn website, in a view of the front of the hotel you can see part of the Hilton sign which is past the Convention Center, to judge how close it is. Convention Center and Monorail is a quick 10-minute walk north of hotel. Hourly shuttle runs to Bally's and then to the Airport (which was suspended last year), but it only runs 9A-1P, and 4P-11P, leaves hotel at the top of the hour - you need to call the desk and reserve a spot on the shuttle, especially if you expect to get to the Airport on a particular run. Large breakfast counter, frig, coffeemaker, and some rooms have a sink. Love the large rooms with suite-type arrangement (half-wall separates the living room and bedroom) - but you only get this if you request a room with 1 bed - if you request 2 beds the living room half of the room has a bed in it - so it you don't need 2 beds, get a room with only 1 so you get the extra room.
